Pet Care Terms & Conditions

​

• All pets should be up to date with vaccinations, worming and/or flea treatments where applicable. An agreeable temperament is a necessity for us to be confident we can provide the service/s you require.

• Dogs must be sociable with other dogs and children. The dog must be fit enough to partake in the level of exercise requested. Any known anti-social behavioural habits, unusual quirks/dislikes must be advised at the commencement of the contract.

• Dogs will undergo a trial period to test compatibility with Treats. We will only exercise dogs on a leash (unless authorised by the owner to be let off) and reserve the right to terminate any exercise period in the event of any activity/occurrence disturbing to the dog/s usual demeanour. Group walking is the norm ordinarily with a maximum of 4 dogs per handler at any one time. We can provide- free of charge, our own equipment (leash/harness/halti etc) and will insist on it’s use for safety reasons, if the equipment you provide is deemed by us to be unfit/unsuitable for purpose.

• We reserves the right to cancel the contract at any time with immediate effect where the behaviour or demeanour of the dog gives cause for concern or in respect of any late/missed payment of fees.

• The client remains at all times liable for any veterinary costs incurred by their pets regardless how they are incurred. Whilst every effort is made to ensure the safety and well being of your pets, we cannot be held liable for any loss, injury, disease or death to any pet in our care. In the event of emergency veterinary treatment being necessary the client expressly authorises Treats to seek such treatment and arrange it’s undertaking in the absence of the client. Every effort will be made to use the vet nominated by the client and to contact the client at the earliest opportunity. The client hereby accepts responsibility for all veterinary costs due and agrees to reimburse any costs incurred by Treats actions in good faith with the best interests of the owners and/or their pets in mind. Treats will retain all receipts to demonstrate such costs.

• This agreement is valid for all future visits until a new agreement is signed.

• Whilst being transported all animals will be caged or harnessed for their own welfare.

• In the event we are unable to fulfil the service requirements (due to illness or emergency) and must cancel, we are not obliged to offer any compensation however will try to give as much notice as possible, try to send a replacement or advise the client on alternatives.

•  Unfortunately, we cannot board female dog's that are not neutered. 

• Payments can be made in cash, by cheque (made payable to Emma Price) or by bank transfer (account details given on request). A fee of £35 will apply for any returned cheques.

• Cancellations- We ask in all cases that you notify us at your earliest convenience. Please be mindful that we aim to provide a timely, reliable service to all our clients and ‘provisional booking’ can hinder ability to schedule efficiently.

• All dog boarding invoice's will be sent 7 days prior to boarding start date.

• Any cancellations for dog boarding that are received 7 days prior to boarding start date will be charged 75% of total boarding cost. If cancellations are due to COVID-19 then this fee is waived.
